Hollywood taking on faith-based films

Well, if you need to review the lives of some of Scripture's most noteworthy characters, start studying now. The reason: several Bible-themed blockbusters are coming to theaters within the next few years so get ready. Russell Crowe stars in Darren Aronofsky's Noah  set to premiere next March. Crowe will be joined by Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Hopkins in this epic account. From the director that brought you Alien , Gladiator, Prometheus and Black Hawk Down , Ridley Scott will turn out Exodus in December 2014 with Christian Bale, Aaron Paul and Joel Edgerton.

Russell Crowe stars as Noah in Darren Aronofsky's latest film.

The latest project in process: Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ  which will be directed by Timur Bekmambetov. This will be a new adaption of the 1880 Lew Wallace novel which outsold every book but the Bible itself during its run until Gone With The Wind was published.

Talks are even circling around Brad Pitt starring in a biopic about Pontius Pilate, the man who gave the OK for Jesus' crucifixion.

And who can forget that Nic Cage's next feature is the remake of Left Behind...

Many things to watch out for...
